Irony and Mr Zennström's expiry
[Tech news and insider stories for the IT industry - the i-kew blog] Not a penny, say my sources. At his own request: apparently, the recent lawsuits against KazAa (successful in Australia) have left him not just fearing arrest if he sets foot on American soil, but convinced that as soon as he actually gets any money, American copyright lawyers will descend on him like vultures, and shred his pockets for it.

On Mp3s: Why The Free Music Revolt Should End
[The Neo-Communist] These days people prefer to use the acronym "MP3." MPEG stands for Moving Picture Experts Group. You may have run into the sister format for videos called "MPEG" or "MPG." It used to be only MP2s (MPEG-LAYER 2) that were on the market, but they were much bulkier and rarely could a person copy a full song into this format.
