Filesharing Review > Casual Piracy
[Voidstar] Corante has a post about the RIAA attempting to stamp out "Casual Piracy" and make criminals of us all. I'm reminded yet again of Zappa predicting a time when music is made illegal.
Some slightly related from Technorati and Google.
[Chiasm.blog-city.com] chiasm.blog-city.com: Moment of subtle, heartbreaking genius: After the verse asking "who would care if I was gone?", they break into an instrumental verse, no vocals, like he's actually dead and gone, and the song is actually pretty simple/dull without him, and I am like "MARK, I MISS YOU, COME BACK!" And then he does! I don't know if that break is in the original, never heard it, so maybe Zappa deserves the credit, but, really, WOW, I love this song, but I hope Mark doesn't really feel so down about himself!
[Terryfrazier.com] b.cognosco: Jorge Cortell has been lecturing on intellectual property at the university for five years. Earlier this month Jorge was asked to give a lecture on P2P as a part of Free Culture week.
